Beidh an Ghaelscoil ag glacadh páirte arís i mbliana sa chlár Food Dudes, chun ithe torthaí agus glasraí a spreagadh i measc na ndaltaí. Seo an ceathrú bhliain dúinn sa chlár seo agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh na daltaí tairbhe as.
Beidh na torthaí agus na glasraí ag teacht ar an tseachtain i ndiaidh na laethanta saoire (13 - 17 Aibreán) agus beidh leabhrán gníomhaíochtaí do chuile pháiste sa scoil chun tacú leis an spreagadh a gheobhaidh siad ar scoil. Cuirfear béim ar bhia folláine sa rang ar an tseachtain sin agus beidh ábhair á léiriú ag na múinteoirí sna seomraí ranga.
Níl aon bhaint ag an gclár seo le clár na mbéilí te ó Freshtoday, a leanfaidh leis don tseachtain sin freisin, ach b'fhéidir nach gá an oiread céanna a sheoladh isteach don chéad sos, mar go mbeidh na torthaí agus glasraí acu an tseachtain sin.

The Gaelscoil will be participating again this yeat in the Food Dudes programme, to encourage the eating of fruit and vegetables amongst the pupils. This is our fourth year participating and we hope the student all benefit from it.
The fruit and vegetables will be delivered to us during the week after the Easter holidays (13 - 17 April) and there will be an activity booklet for every pupil to reinforce the encouragement they will be getting in school. Healthy eating will be emphasised in the classroom for that week and there will be materials shown by the múinteoirí in the classrooms.
This programme is not connected in any way with the hot meals scheme from Freshtoday, which will run as normal for that week, but perhaps there won't be a need to send in quite as much food for the first break, as they will have the fruit and vegetables that week.
Consent letters will be sent home to parents beforehand, but if the class teacher does not hear back from parents, consent will be assumed to participate for the week. If you have any questions regarding the Food Dudes programme, you can sent them to your múinteoir ranga.
